What data do we collect?
We only collect data that is necessary to process your booking or answer your enquiry:
- When making a booking: name, email address, phone number, address, arrival and departure date, number of guests, payment details
- When using the contact form: name, email address, phone number (optional), your message
We do not collect data for marketing purposes and do not send newsletters.
What do we use your data for?
- Processing and confirming your reservation
- Handling payments
- Answering enquiries via the contact form
- Complying with legal obligations (administration, tax filings)
Processing takes place on the legal bases of performance of a contract and legal obligation.
Who has access to your data?
We only share your data with parties that are necessary for our services:
- Beds24 — booking system
- Stripe — payment processing
- Amazon SES — email delivery
- Google Workspace — email
- Cloudflare — hosting, security and abuse protection
We use processors with whom, where legally required, data processing agreements have been concluded. We never sell your data to third parties.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use tracking cookies, analytics or advertising cookies. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect the contact form against spam. This only processes technical data necessary to prevent automated abuse. No tracking cookies are placed.
Retention period
- Booking and invoice data: retained for as long as necessary for the provision of services and the statutory fiscal retention obligation (7 years)
- Contact form messages: maximum 1 year, then deleted
- Payment data: not stored by us (processed by Stripe)
Your rights
Under the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), you have the right to:
- Access your data
- Have your data corrected
- Have your data deleted
- Object to processing
- Data portability
You can submit a request via info@hofvanphilipsland.nl. We will respond within 30 days. You may also file a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Authority).
Security
We take appropriate measures to protect your data:
- The website is fully encrypted (HTTPS)
- Access to systems is secured with two-factor authentication
- We use processors with whom, where legally required, data processing agreements have been concluded
